Allt fler kontor står tomma i USA – investerare: ”Riv dem”
Förändrad efterfrågan i pandemins spår har successivt drivit upp vakansgraden på den amerikanska kontorsmarknaden – från 19,6 procent sista kvartalet 2022 till 20,2 procent första kvartalet i år. Det rapporterar Bloomberg.
”Vi närmar oss den ekonomiska stormens öga och jag räknar med att det kommer att bli ännu värre”, skrev fastighetsjätten Vornados ordförande Steven Roth nyligen.
Investeraren Kyle Bass menar att det uppstått en permanent obalans på marknaden och att det är för dyrt att bygga om kontor till lägenheter.
– Det är en tillgångsklass som bara måste göras om, och med göras om menar jag rivas, säger han till Bloomberg.

The REIT executives were convicted and sentenced to a combined 20 years in federal prison.
